I wanted to create a logo that was non-traditional in usage. The single mark (G with an F hidden inside it) when combined with another one creates an “A”. This was to symbolize family and the power of many. .

When I first moved to New York, I’d walk through Canal Street & its corresponding alleys just to check out the latest fashion and sneaker bootlegs, mixtapes and overall energy. I was always excited to see what the bootleggers would dream up without corporate restrictions. These were designs truly ahead of their time. So, when presented with the opportunity to create a 4-piece show at Canal Street Market, I wanted to reimagine what a basketball club would look like if it were inspired by my earliest memories and explorations of Canal Street.
