2019 Giannis Antetokounmpo Apparel Collection- for Nike Basketball
Design Direction and Branding Strategy
My objective was to create an iconic signature apparel collection design language that is authentic to Giannis Antetokounmpo aka the “Greek Freak”.
Inspired by classic sweatsuits of the past with discrete graphic details and modern fit and tailoring, this collection embodies Giannis’ simple style but passionate connection to his family and culture.
The apparel collection is made up of a sweatsuit, shorts, t-shirts and socks.

This heavyweight mesh short with beautiful embroideries and patchwork is a work of art.
Creative Direction and Branding Strategy
Continuing the Signature Apparel Strategy that started with Kyrie Irving, the Spring 19 Kevin Durant Apparel Collection will feature a consistent thread across the entire line.
The task was to look at KD’s style and taste levels and create products that would be authentic to KD and also resonate to his fans. KD’s love for vintage clothing and the journey he’s been on since picking up a basketball. The print is made up of all of his jersey’s he’s ever worn.
The end result was a cohesive collection that will be the canvas for future collections. Everything about this collection is considered, fit, style, modularity and every detail was thought through and put their for a purpose.

This collection was a reset in the overall Signature Athlete Collections by Nike Basketball. My task was to look at Kyrie as a youthful modern brand based on Kyrie’s style and taste levels. We wanted to make sure that this was authentic to Kyrie and also resonate to his fans.
To attack this, I created an overall brand strategy & style direction that would be an evergreen to his future collection. Branding systems, consistent color cues as well as what silhouettes to use.
The end result was a cohesive collection that will be the canvas for future collections. Everything about this collection is considered, fit, style, modularity and every detail was thought through and put their for a purpose.
This collection is the first reset for the Nike Basektball Team. Next up…

2012-2013 -Season 1-3
Created overall branding & design language strategy on apparel. Used the idea of Chicago to Miami as the overall inspiration for the brand.
Working with Dwyane Wade after his exit from Jordan brand provided multiple challenges. Because D Wade was becoming a fashion icon, his status from his apparel had to match. It was great because he took a lot of risks and was willing to try almost anything. We pushed his collection into more of a luxury sportswear brand. Making leather windbreakers, stingray letterman’s jackets and countless other pieces to merchandise with his new shoe.
